Abstract
A peripheral water channel serving as a float is formed on the base of the reservoir interior and has tubes connecting it to the reservoir interior. The tubes have valves which are maintained open while water is passed into the reservoir and then while compressed gas is passed into the reservoir, the valves allowing the water level to equalize on the reservoir interior and exterior. The valves are then closed and the water in the channel is pumped out until the reservoir floats. The reverse procedure is followed when a new position of the reservoir is required.
