Abstract

The tractor draws the collector trailer (2) on each side (3) of which are fitted arms (6b) connected by angle iron (6c) and by cables (7). Further cables (10) and (10a) support the conveyor sections (12) on either side. The sections (12) have rollers at the inner and outer ends, on which run continuous belts powered from the tractor. The top of the belt moves inwards and eventually drops the crop being gathered into the trailer. The conveyor sections have outwardly diverging upper walls which channel the crop downwardly onto the conveyor. The sections (12) are slightly inclined downwardly in the trailer direction.
