Abstract
Gas laser with transverse excitation as in 72. 34890 has one of the conductors of the flat line formed from (N+1) part separated by N parallel excitation channels, (C1, C2, C3) with N whole greater than 1. the excitation channels (C1, C2, C3) are equidistant, and the flat line has a splayed form and the length (1) of the channels increasees with their distance from the discharger. The discharger (E) has one terminal connected to earth and the other terminal connected to a battery whose other terminal is connected to earth. The laser assembly is of triangular shape with two conducting plates on either side of an insulating plate.
