Abstract

Hand-operated extrusion depositories for forming soft paste blanks for frying the device comprises a hollow cylinder with an end cover which can be taken off in order to load the cylinder with paste. The cylinder end opposite the cover has a removable, axial extrusion nozzle through which paste is extruded as it is pressed along the bore of the cylinder by a close fitting piston; the cover provides rotary and thrust bearing surfaces for a jacking screw which imparts axial movement to the piston as an external screw-handle is rotated to turn the screw in the axial, threaded bore of the piston. The piston and cylinder bore and pref. of polygonal cross-section to prevent piston rotation. Used for depositing paste blanks for frying, e.g. scotch pancakes, etc. Manual effort is reduced by using screw extrusion instead of axial thrust. The machine is easily dismantled for cleaning and is partic. hygienic in plastic.
