Abstract

A metal collar (5) butts up against the outside wall (1) of a box containing an h.f. circuit. The collar passes through a hole in the wall, and its edge inside the box is crimped back against the wall's inner surface and soldered (6, 7) to the wall both inside and out. A tubular insulator (9) passes through the collar and supports the connector centre pin (8). The connector may have an axial or a radial lead-out. In the case of the radial lead-out the outer cap (21) has an opening in its side wall for the neck (17) of an inner cover cap (18) which is free to rotate over the collar.
