Abstract

A stabilised power supply has an output at 50 Hz which is synchronous with the frequency of the mains supply. A power source (1) has an output (1a) which is connected to an input (2a) of a lead circuit (2) which is able to operate with an alternative synchronous supply. The supply is applied to a measuring circuit (5) whose output is compared (8) with that of reference voltage element (10). The comparator output (8c) is connected to the analogue input of an analogue to digital converter (12). The eight digital outputs are converter, to an analogue output in a digital to analogue converter, one of whose outputs connects to the source (16) while a second output connects to the load (2b).
