Abstract
PURPOSE:To constitute a monolithic IC by a method wherein an approximately saw tooth shaped signal is generated by using an N base notation counter and a D/A converter and then is compared with a detected signal for the purpose of creating PWM signal. CONSTITUTION:A semicoductor switching device 12 controls the power that is supplied by a DC source 11 to a load 2 and a detector 17 senses tha load condition. On the other hand, the inside condition is cyclically changed upon completion in an N base notation counter 15 of a counting of N each signals outputted by a frequency dignal generator 16, and a D/A converter 14 outputs a voltage the size whereof corresponds of the digital value in the N base notation counter 15. The comparator 13 compares the D/A converter 14 output and the detector 17 output and yields a PWM signal that turns on and off the semiconductor switching device 12.
