Abstract

The insulating material used in the ceiling panel consists of a sheet of steel, copper or aluminium which has been very highly polished (1). The sheet has parabolically shaped corrugations the concave side of which face downwards. The sheet is encased in a wooden box (2). On the ceiling (4) vertical fillets (2b) are placed and to them are attached side members (2f, 2g, 2h and 2i). The top of the box is enclosed by a panel (2j) which overlays the side members. The side members contain grooves and ridges (2k) which engage other grooves or ridges in adjacent units.
