Abstract

The cabin of the monorail train (K) is joined to a wheel (4) which has a central flange (5), and the track consists of steel sections (1) on which is mounted the running surface. This comprises two steel sections. One of these rests directly on the steel beam and the other (7) is J shaped and is the part in direct contact with the wheel. Between the two parts of the running surface there is a layer of plastics material (8). This plastic material absorbs the sound of the wheels on the track which results in a quieter running train.
