Abstract

In device for attaching a rail to a sleeper a packing piece, pref. of a plastics material such as superpolyamide resin, acetal or polyurethane, by itself or with additions, has a thick body and two thinner pieces extending over the rail and the sleeper respectively to a greater extent than the webs of the fastening piece which are supported by them. Electrical insulation is achieved, and the anti-wear properties and flexibility of the material prevent rubbing between the webs of the fastening piece and the sleeper.
