Abstract

The arrangement contains a divided flat base rim. A non-flexible ring section is positioned on the rim base, and has a cross section, formed so as to avoid an axial inward displacement. The section is positioned next to the bead of an associated tyre, so that it projects radially outwards, and acts as an obstruction against an axial inward movement of the tyre bead. The annular ring may be separate from the rim and retained in one direction to prevent movement to the wheel centre by welded arms on the deep rim half section.
