Abstract

In the parent patent the solderable Ag-CdO assemblies are prepd by placing an Ag-Cu alloy layer between an Ag or Ag alloy layer and anAg-Cd alloy, which is then internally oxidised by simultaneously applying a press. A solderable Ag-Cd oxide article is also obtd in the absence of press. by simply heating and oxidising the assembly until a plastic (delta-alpha) phase is formed.
