Abstract

The door has a box (2) which has a cavity (20) in the lower part in which is situated a handle (9) controlling the raising or lowering of the window by acting on rod (11) linked to a stabilizer (7). The top edges (21, 22) of box (2) have inner surfaces coated with felt to allow guide panel (3) to slide into the box (2). The upper edge of panel (3) has one side covered in felt (30) and a guide tongue (31) on the other side. Window pane (4) slides into panel (3). The whole thing comprising box (2), pane (3) and pane (4) constitutes a vehicle door and telescopes into box at the base.
