Abstract

The system prevents front portions of anti skid material from becoming dislodged from bottom of ski used for cross country travelling. The bottom (1) of the ski has a sheet of polyethylene plastic (7) fixed to the metal base (B). Two recesses (2) are fitted with an anti skid material (4). The front portion (5) of each strip is either a force fit, or may be held by a metal spring clip (10), in a rebate (6) formed between the plastic and the aluminium ski. Each strip is cemented to the ski along its length, except for an area situated under the rebate, allowing easy removal of the strip.
