Abstract

The main leaf of the spring is attached at one end to a mounting pin and its other end is curved and bears against a flat surface. A secondary leaf underlies the main leaf and has reduced thickness ends into which project the sleeves which secure the secondary leaf to the main leaf. The middle section of the leaves are substantially straight and in contact with each other. To prevent movement between the centres of the leaves, the secondary leaf projects upwardly into the main leaf. This may be achieved by forming curved sections which lock into each other or a stud on the upper surface of the secondary leaf which projects into an opening in the base of the main leaf.
