Abstract

Injectable solns of antineuritic mixtures, contain vitamins, coenzymes and associations of these. The vitamins and coenzymes are prepd. at pH 2.5-5 and are stabilised by lyophilisation or other means to preserve their chemical structure and activity and, this matl. is converted into an injectable soln. by means of a solvent which is kept separate but supplied in the same package as the active matl, the solvent being a buffered, pyrogenic sterile soln. contg. physiological ions which gives the final soln. og pH of 6-6.4: the soln. being administered within an hour of its prepn. Conventional antineuritic solns are at pH 2.5-5 in order to preserve the activity of the vitamins etc. Such solns cause local irritation because of their acidity. The novel solns. maintain the activity but are free from side effects.
