Abstract

The panels which line the sides of the trench (2 & 3) are so designed that one has an end shaped to form a vertical slot (5). The edge of the other panel which faces the slot has a vertical tongue which engages the slot on the adjacent panel. The panel end with the slot also has a slot on the face that is on the inside of the trench. This slot receives the T shaped head of the trench strut. The system is designed to form either permanent or temporary support for trenches, and allows simple sliding assembly of the components.
