Abstract

The equipment provides persons called and being asked to wait with music until the caller is available. The unit is fitted at the callers end and has a cassette, motor and loudspeaker which operates when the weight of the callers handset bears on the casing. Power is supplied from built in batteries accessible from the base of the instrument. The unit is designed so that the callers handset rests at an angle the loudspeaker being at the lower end and the operating contacts at the same level towards the back of the instrument.
