Abstract

A telephone unit is made of interchangeable units which are mechanically and electrically interconnected. The complete assembly may be either wall mounted or stood on a table. A telephone handset (1) rests on a base (2) whose upper surface is inclined. The base is screwed to a second unit (3) housing a loudspeaker (8) and a numerical keyboard (7) which can be replaced by a rotating dial if required. This unit is mounted on a third unit (4) containing a set of push buttons (9) enabling interconnections with other telephone extensions. Multiway connectors permit electrical interconnections between the units.
