Abstract

The device comprises a sensor system consisting of three colour filters and one photocell which can carry out measurements in the internationally standardised (CIE), X, Y, Z colour coordinate system with good accuracy. The system converts, using linear transformation resistor network and summators, colour components values determined by instrument systems into corrected component values which better correspond to values measured in the international system. The colour coordinates are derived from the corrected values by a signal processing unit comprising an operational amplifier in a summating cct. and a digital ratiometer.
