Abstract
The metallic shaft or outer ring of a roller bearing to which the plastic pulley is to be fitted has two circumferential grooves on its outer surface. The centres of these grooves are eccentric, in opposite directions, to the shaft/ring centre, and the grooves are displaced axially relative to each other. This gives two crescent profiled grooves. The plastic pulley is injection moulded on the shaft/ring. The absence of the conventional axial keying grooves increases the metallic body strength.
