Abstract

Much work in plantations is repetitive and progress is slow. The patent covers a self propelled and steered vehicle which can carry out various agricultural functions, using the minimum of labour. The vehicle speed, constant or variable is controlled by a single lever. Self steering is effected by an outrigger wheel, or wheels, which contacts objects of plants placed at regular intervals. The vehicle transmission is hydrostatic and the self steering is done hydraulically or pneumatically. Various cultivating tools are incorporated in the vehicle, which operates between 0 and 6 km/h. The vehicle is covered, heated and has lighting for the comfort of the operators.
