Abstract

Helix shaped is S in plan, paddle or vane 4 of concrete mixer 1 rotates about a vertical axis 2 through its centroid and utilises a slow radial speed to mix and stir efficiently. The vane 4 locates pref. in a flat bottomed cylindrical vessel 1 and constitutes a tubular axle housing 3 at its centroid and plough shares 5 at each extremity. Pref. projecting plough shares 5 are inclined at 45 deg. to the horizontal, the horizontal vane 4 curves are elliptical and are lined with durable material. The vane can also constitute twin parallel members joined at the axle housing and plough share.
