Abstract

Horizontal rotating disc grinding machine removes burr and fins from machined metals etc, aligning workpiece 8 parallel to and against the abrasive disc 4; the workpiece support beam 1 being supported each end on parallel inclined seats 2, and having one end adjustably movable by an axial screw jack 5 thus effecting raising or lowering of the workpiece whilst maintaining its alignment to the grinder. The support member 1 constitutes twin beams joining at each end and bridging the motor 3 driven disc, each beam being 45 deg. chamfered at inner top faces thus supporting say a 90 deg. angled section apex down. Coil springs 6 assist gravity in moving the beam down its axial seats.
