Abstract
The installation of television receivers can occur in different areas where the voltage can vary between 90 VAC to 260VAC. The receiver will either have degraded performance or suffer damage if the internal power supplies are not properly adjusted to correct this variation. This power supply unit requires no external switching for input voltage variation. The circuit has semi-conductor rectifiers connected to one side of the mains and a filter circuit. A square wave generator is used with an energy storage circuit consisting of inductance and high value capacitance. From this circuit with further rectication, DC voltages are produced for the various circuits of the receiver.
