Abstract

The system consists of rows of spring mounted U-section uprights forming vertical channels to guide the boxes. At the lower part of each channel is a braking system pressing on the sides of the boxes, the force applied being proportional to the weight of products in the channel. This prevents crushing of boxes at the bottom of the channel. An ejector system is fitted to the bottom of each channel. An electromagnet is used to tilt an L-section support to eject a box, the L-section returning to its original position to stop the next box. The products fall to a conveyor for delivery outside the container. The system can be operated remotely, using punched cards.
