Abstract

The mechanism comprises lock (A) and control key (B). Lock (A) has central shaft (10) with thread at the base which locks sections 1 and 2 and closes the box. Wide collar (12) at the top of shaft (10) wedges itself at the base of cutout (3) in section 1. The top of shaft (10) has threaded hole (14) and a polygonal section (15) held on by means of flexible washer (16). Key (B) has tubular section (30) with internal threaded key (40) fitting hole (14) and rebate (31), of the same size as section (15). Thread (41) locks key (b) to shaft (10) and operation of handles (34, 35) releases shaft (10) and sections 1 from 2.
