Abstract

The oven heats the material by dielectric losses and employs high frequency current. The oven has waveguide attenuating channels at its inlet and outlet, through which the material on the conveyor passes, and which are connected to the protective shielding enclosing the high frequency generators. The length of each channel is between three and five times its diameter. The channels are preferably at an angle to the electric field set up by the high frequency generators.
