Abstract

The material is passed through a pair of rollers which have an adjustable centre spacing. The spacing of the rollers and their form will depend on the profile required. In the example given, the lower roller has a flat, polished surface and the top roller is formed to produce a profile having transversal grooves at regular intervals. The top roller contains transverse rods regularly spaced around the roller periphery. The finished product is used in the manufacture of plastic and rubber sections.
