Abstract

The arrangement comprises two flexible films of material, one opaque and one translucent, the latter being coated with an iridescent colouring material. After contact pressure the films are separated and the colourant may remain on the surface of the translucent material or may be dispersed therein. The film bearing the image is subsequently mounted onto a rigid backing sheet. The opaque material is typically white vinyl plastics and the translucent component of flexible organic glass or acrylic plastics. One of the sheets may be rigid, the other flexible one receiving the contact pressure.
