Abstract

A wheel, intended for carrying pneumatic tyres, comprises a central hub and a rim or felly, mounted on the hub and constituted of resin-impregnated fibres arranged in diagonally intersecting array across the tyre-supporting regions; this arrangement enables torsional forces to be carried by the felly.
