Title cpds. are of the types: (A) dicyandiamide, hexamethylene diamine, guanidine, biuret, biguanamide, biguanidine, and cpds. of formula (I):- NH2(alkylene NH)n alkylene NH2, (I), (where the two 'alkylene' gps. are the same and are ethylene or propylene and n is 0-4); and (B) amides prepd. from a cpd. of group A or urea and >=1 acids selected from formic, acetic, propanoic, butyric, benzoic, methyl benzoic, salicylic, 2-ethyl hexanoic, octanoic, fumaric, maleic, phthalic, succinic, alkyl succinic, adipic, sebacic, nonylic, decanoic, lauric, caprylic, myristic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, ricinoleic, dihydroxystearic, isostearic, arachidic, behenic, colza acids (opt. hydrogenated), polymerised linseed fatty acids and their glycerides (opt. blown) and their esters with alcohols =8C.
