Abstract

Antitubercular cpds. of formula (I) and their acids-addn. salts (where R1, R2 are phenyl opt. substd. by hal, CO2H, (1-4)C alkoxy, di-(1-4)C alkoxy, phenyl, (1-4)C alkyl, di-(1-4)C alkyl CF3, 1-4C alkylsulphonyl 1-4C alkylthio, methylenedioxy, CN, SO2-NH2, (1-4)C alkoxycarbonyl; naphthyl opt. substd. by (1-4)C alkoxy, halogen; R3, R4 are H, (1-4)C alkyl, phenyl opt. substd. by hal; R5, R6 are alkyl, or together may form a (2-9) C alkylene or a (2-4)C alkylene substd. by 1 or 2 Me or phenyl gps. and R7 is H, (1-4)C alkyl). The cpds. are used at 5-100 mg/kg/day in unit doses contg. 10-500 mg and are prepd. by the reaction of N-aminoguanidines with 1,5 diarylpenta-1,4-diene-3-ones.
