Abstract
Process comprises (a) treating powdered ores with a strong mineral acid e.g. H2SO4, HNO3 or HCl to obt. a soluble salt, (b) putting the salts obtd into soln. in aqs. medium, (c) passing the salt soln. over an ion exchange resin bed to retain cations, (d) recovering cations by elution using acids and reactants in a convenient series of concns, (e) electrolytically treating the eluates to obt. pure metals.
