Abstract

Solid, water-sol. salts of a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid, esp. Nylon-6,6 salts, are economically produced with little decompsn. by adding the diamine to an aqs. soln. of the salt and sepg. the solid salt pptd. Little decomposition occurs as no distillation takes place and hence the high temps. are not encountered which tend to decompose the salt.
