Abstract

Fluoranthen-8-ylcarboxylic acid esters of the formula: (where Y = -CH2CH2-NRR1 Z = fluoranthen-8-yl, R and R1 = same or different (1-4C) straight or branched alkyl, (5-6C) cycloalkyl or together with the attached N atom represents a 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic ring) and their acid addn salts have antispasmodic acitivity, but lower toxicity than atropine.
