Abstract

Prepn. for preventing sunlight burns and curing them, if incurred, consists of an emulsion contg. benzalazine (absorbing erythenogenic part of u.v spectrum) dissolved in a liq. waxy phase emulsified in an aq. soln contg. pantothenol (which rapidly heals sunlight burns). The ratio benzalazine: liq. wax should not be 8:110. In this manner the water-insoluble benzalazine can be incorporated into a water-contg. compn comprising pantothenol.
