Abstract

Appts is used with interchargeable crucibles and is constituted by support elements fixed to the crucible walls allowing it to be moulded on a support ring surrounding and spaced from the crucible, and comprises supper brackets supported via spherical support surfaces on the frontal surface of the support ring; and lower brackets sepd. from the ring seat by wedges. The sides of the upper brackets which are parallel to the radii of the crucible form spherical support surfaces and bear on two parallel support arus which are guided laterally and mobile radially and have lateral hollows complementary to the spherical support surfaces, a clearance being arranged between the frontal surface of the ring and the lower surface of the upper bracket. Two pairs of wedges are disposed between support plates guided in the seat of the lower side of the support ring and in the upper rib of the lower bracket, and define surfaces inclined at opposite angles circumferentially of the ring, >=1 of the support plates and its associated seat has a rounded surface extending tangentially to the circumference of the crucible.
