Abstract

A spray/dust trap comprising two parallel baffles, the first being recessed for collection by sedimentation, and having channels through which e.g. air passes into recesses in the second baffle, so that particles are collected inertially; is adapted for continuous removal of collected spray etc., by constructing the second baffle as an endless belt, pref. of filter material, on which recesses are formed as gutters, from folded bands of cardboard, dispensed from a roll at one end of e.g. a spray booth floor, and disposed of at the other end. The first baffle is made in dismountable sections, for easy cleaning. The trap is 99.8% efficient.
