Abstract

A continuous plastic tube is filled with liquid and weld lines are formed across the tube to produce a sachet, a notch being formed pref. simultaneously in the edge of one weld line to allow the sachet to be opened manually by ripping. Pref. the sachet has a V-shaped weld line extending inwardly from one edge so as to form a spout and the notch is provided on the upper edge of the spout. The sachet can be easily opened without cutting with scissors.
