Abstract

A gas-cutting torch for removing cracks from slabs or billets during rolling processes has a feed device for brazing rod comprising two one-way blocks one of which is movable and the other is fixed. Each block comprises a sleeve within which are located spring blades fixed at one end and flexible and internally bent at the other end to grip and advance the rod and present its tip to the torch nozzle. The lever which actuates the mobile block and is not integral with the block so that the latter can be removed, e.g. for replacement without interfering with the actuating mechanism.
