Abstract

Plates in excess of 500 cm2 are coated with thermosetting material on one major face and all edges by injection moulding. The plate is inserted into a mould in which the face and edges are spaced from the mould cavity which is sealed off by a peripheral ring whereupon the thermosetting material is injected into the mould at a pressure is not >10 kg./cm2, the thermosetting material having a viscosity of =10,000cP at ambient temp. Injection may take place through an opening in the plate.
