Solid animal foodstuffs are prepd. from (I) Sugar wastes comprising (a) beet or cane molasses, and/or (b) glutamic acid wastes and/or (c), fruit juice wastes, and (2) Mineral salts comprising urea phosphates, hydrated lime, and opt. Ca CO3, Mg (OH)2 or dolomite with an overall compsn. solid:fluid of 0.25-5.25, pref. 0.96-1.12; Ca : P of 0.68 - 2.40 pref. 0.68-1.80; and N : P of 0.90 - 2.70, pref. 0.90 - 1.75.
