Abstract

Wound or loose yarn, fibres, or piece goods are wet treated, e.g. dyed or bleached, at temps. >100 degrees C by impregnating the material at a temp. 100 degrees and then placing the impregnated material in a closed container and subjecting it to a press. corresp. to the vapour press. at the required temp. This is done by the use of steam, hot air, or both. The method ensures that the concn. of treatment liquor remains constant in the material.
