Abstract

The hot drink is prepd. in a cylindrical prepn. chamber by infusion. The appts. can be used to prepare tea, from tea leaves, or coffee, from ground coffee. The prepn. chamber has two concentric walls, with an annular space between the two; to assist mixing, air is introduced through six openings around the periphery of the inner wall and is directed along the surface of a strip of filter paper which covers the upper opening of the outlet funnel; this current of air is maintained whilst the infusion is being extracted and prevents any blockage of the filter. After a predetermined time, of several seconds, the liq. passes to a collecting recipient, where the mikl and sugar are added before passage to a cup.
