Title compsns. contain a cpd. of formula (I) where alkyl has 1-5C atoms, and n = 0 or 1; The prepn. of these cpds. is described in the parent patent. In an example, (I) alkyl = CH3, n = 1, was applied to larvae of Dysdercus intermedius in the final stage of development, at the rate of 100 x 10-6 g per insect. All of the larvae either died or become very large and did not develop into the adult form.
