Abstract
Drive assembly for motor shaft comprising (a) first and second motor means connected respectively by first and second regulatable rotational coupling means to the motor shaft and driving this in first and second mutually opposed directions respectively, (b) menas for the simultaneous regulation of the first and second coupling means, (c) means for controlling the actual value of a first magnitude selected from magnitrudes connected with the rotation of the motor shaft, at a value pre-determined from a second magnitrude selected from the magnitudes relating to the rotation of the motor shaft, such means being adapted to actuate the coupling regulating means. Applicable to e.g. a winch drum manipulating the suspension cable of a drilling pipe string.
