Abstract

A reforming process is operated with a catalyst contg. (a) an Al2O3 support; (b) Pt, pref. 0.005-1 wt.%; (c) Zr, pref. 0.005-1 wt.%; (d) at least one lanthanide (other than Pm), pref. 0.005-5 (esp. 0.05-3) wt.%; and pref. (e) 0.1-10 wt.% halogen and (f) =10 wt.% Zn or a Zn cpd. (expressed as ZnO). The lanthanide increases the activity and life of the catalyst.
