Abstract

Machine consists of a box in the shape of an inverted pyramid. Guide rails are provided in the upper portion in which the ends of carrier stems can slide; bonds, attached to the stems, carry the sausages and allow them to swing freely in the box. The lower part of the latter has a beater which projects the powder to the inside of the box in which the sausages are circulating. As the sausages progress they strike a fixed plate which removes any excess powder; this travels to the bottom of the box where it is filtered and rejoins the powder being projected by the beater. Other nonedible articles of a similar shape for decoration and ornamentation can be coated with pulverulent materials in the same way.
