Abstract

A combustibility tester, esp. for fabrics (at preconditioned humidity and temp.), has baffled orifices at bottom and top to permit flow of air. The cabinet may contain a thermostatically controlled heater, to hold temp. at e.g. 60 degrees C. The burner used for ignition is fitted with pointers, to which cone and flame are adjusted; and the height of the sample relative to flame is also variable.
